Rockustics Outdoor Subscape 10 Subwoofer

The Subscape 10 is a direct-burial, 10" subwoofer to complement Periscape speakers. With 250 watts (RMS) of power handling, it is an ideal companion to Periscape spike-mount speakers. Once installed, the only visible part of the speaker is a discreet, brown vent cap. One Subscape subwoofer is suitable for installations of up to 7 Periscape units; additional subwoofers are recommended for larger installations. The Subscape 10 may also be used with other Rockustics speakers or other outdoor products. A built-in transformer provides convenience for 70V installations; the subwoofer may also be operated in 8 ohm direct mode. When installed in 8 ohm mode, we recommend the use of the PhaseTech P350 subwoofer amp.

Fully Weatherproof

Rockustics speakers are fully weatherproof, so they do not have to be moved out of the elements in the winter or in harsh weather. Rockustics can be left out year-round and can withstand virtually any kind of weather or climate. One user even claims that his Rockustics speakers worked even after being buried in a ten-foot mudslide! They are rust resistant and won’t deteriorate in high-humidity or salty coastal environments. Fade and Chip Resistant

Handmade in the USA, Rockustics products are composed of a proprietary polymer composite material supplemented with an elastomer compound, marble dust and texturizing agents to provide exceptional durability and a realistic look and feel. Unlike most outdoor speakers, Rockustics speakers have the color impregnated in the resin shell. This means that even if a rock’s surface becomes chipped, you won’t see a gray or white scar. The impregnated resin also means they weather naturally, much like a real rock (also known as “patina“), instead of just fading.

When it comes to audio perfection, Rockustics leaves no stone unturned. Rockustics’ speakers are a result of demanding design specifications, achieved through a combination of non-parallel enclosure walls that minimize unnatural resonances, high frequency lift for maximum dispersion in the open air and professionally designed crossovers and components.

Build Quality and Theft Resistance

These speakers are hefty. Rockustics speakers are constructed of a proprietary resin mixed with marble dust, and it’s thick. They won’t break, and they’re heavy enough that a casual thief will think twice about trying to walk away with one. Rockustics speakers can also be outfitted with the optional RB-1 security bracket to even further deter theft.
